Chinese consumer electronics giant Xiaomi announced on May 20 that its Mi Band 7 fitness tracker will be unveiled at a new product launch event held by its sub-brand Redmi at 19:00 on Tuesday, May 24.

The Mi Band 7 will be available in two versions – standard and NFC – and the packaging box of the NFC edition has been leaked. The box revealed some main selling points of the new product, including an AMOLED screen, a professional sleep tracking function, sports effect evaluation, a dial with rich themes, voice assistant, 50 meters deep waterproof, and a built-in 180mAh battery.

Moreover, the band has diverse color options, including blue, pink, green, orange, white and black. It also supports continuous blood oxygen detection throughout the day, and will give a vibration warning when the blood oxygen content is lower than 90%.

Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, said on May 21 that the screen of the Mi Band 7 will be greatly upgraded, with a 1.62-inch AMOLED display, and the visual area will increase by 25%. According to Adam Zeng, the senior vice president of Xiaomi, the sales volume of its bands has reached 140 million units.

At the press conference held by Redmi on Tuesday, the Redmi Note 11T series smartphones, Redmi Buds 4 Pro and Redmi Book Pro Ryzen Edition will all be released.

Xiaomi launched its Redmi Note 11T smartphone in India on Tuesday. The model is available in in Stardust White, Aquamarine Blue or Matte Black colors. Pricing starts at INR 14,999 ($199) for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage model.
